Description

Aljunied and Geylang have long held a special place in the hearts of intellectuals and foodies. Embark on a unique cultural trail to experience food and poetry like never before, following a route inspired by the poetry anthology Never Before: 50 Essential Poems.

Working in teams of two to four people (solo ticket-holders will be matched with other attendees), participants will be given a map and a list of tasks to complete. From cultural locations such as Fu De Ci temple to foodie spots such as 126 Dim Sum Wen Dao Shi, participants will be immersed in the area’s culture while indulging in its many culinary delicacies. The first three teams to complete the trail will win prizes.

About the Organiser

TrendLit was founded in 2012 by a group of Chinese Studies graduates from Nanyang Technological University. Besides publishing their own literary magazine WhyNot and various anthologies, they also organise events such as workshops and panel discussions. Having moved into an editorial lounge in July 2019, they plan to increase their editing and publishing efforts. They have also started a web store, which they hope to make a focal point of local Chinese publications and literature.
