Description

Tika Aksara Menari (When the Alphabets Dance) tells the story of a father who struggles to deal with his son’s dyslexia, and ends up scarring his own child. Will his child break free or end up miserable in the dance of the alphabets?

This is the stage adaptation of a short story by Djohan Abdul Rahman. It was the title story of his 2018 Singapore Literature Prize-shortlisted book, and centres on everyday characters and ordinary happenings that evoke a sense of the familiar.

The 60-minute show is performed in Malay with English subtitles and is suitable for youths aged 12 years and above.
