தேசிய நூலக வாரியத் தமிழ் மொழிச் சேவைகளின் இளம் எழுத்தாளர் வட்ட உறுப்பினர்கள் பிரியா ரவி, சுகண்யா பாலு, மா பிரெமிக்கா, ஹரிணி வி ஆகியோர் சிங்கப்பூர்க் கவிஞர்கள் க.து.மு இக்பால், லதா ஆகியோரின் கவிதைகளை இசுரு விஜய்சோமா மற்றும் சைத்தன்யஸ்ரீ லெனினின் இந்திய இசையுடன் சேர்த்து “குரல்” என்னும் நிகழ்ச்சியைப் படைக்கவிருக்கின்றனர். அவர்களை ஜூரோங் நூலகத்தின் ப்ரொக்ரேம் அறையில் மார்ச் 7ஆம் தேதி, இரவு 7 மணிக்குச் சந்தியுங்கள். நிகழ்ச்சியின் இறுதி 20 நிமிடங்களில் பார்வையாளர்கள் தங்கள் கவிதைகள், கதைகள் அல்லது மற்ற திறன்களைக் காட்டி புத்தகப் பற்றுச்சீட்டுகள் வெல்லலாம். சிங்கையின் கவிக் குரல்களைக் கேட்க வாருங்கள். அனுமதி இலவசம். இங்கு பதிவுச் செய்யுங்கள்: https://forms.gle/EQZ2JHjQ6nvsYGLF7.

Enjoy an evening of Tamil poetry and music in Kural (Voice), as writers and musicians present original Singaporean Tamil poetry. Poets Priya Ravi, Suganiah Balu, Premikha Madasamy and Harini V, who are from NLB Tamil Language Services’ Young Writers Circle, will adapt the original Singaporean Tamil poetry of KTM Iqbal and Latha. Their modern takes on the poems will be presented alongside Carnatic ragas with guitarist Isuru Wijesoma and singer Chaitanyasre Lenin.

NLB Tamil Language Services’ Young Writers Circle is a volunteer group created in 2018. Its mission is to promote Singaporean Tamil literature through Tamil literary, spoken word and bilingual events, creating platforms for Tamil Singaporean youth to express themselves and raising awareness of Tamil literature among a larger Singaporean audience. Events include SingPoWriMo Tamil in 2018 and 2019, and poetry showcases and bilingual panels in conjunction with the annual Tamil Language Festival in April.
